three's company at its best

yes, i will say it now. i do dye my hair so i appear to be a brunette. however the past few days my roots have been coming out.

now i work on a farm, which is fantastic most of the time. we can work at our own pace, we dont have somebody telling us what to do all the time, and we become very creative. the only downfall is that we are tough to the equipment that we use. we never get new things, since they are always broken on almost a daily basis. example: we were using a rented super heavy duty excavtor that moved on tank tracks, and we managed to drop a tree on it and break a mirror on the first day. sorry for the seven years bad luck for my boss. now that was minor, we took some spray paint and did some touch up, and as for the mirror, we are just hoping they didnt know that there were two mirrors when we got it. the trucks, on the other hand, not so minor. after almost destroying the suspension from overloading them (like seriously, you had to floor it to get them to go 30 mph), or completly dropping entire trees into them and nearly flipping the trucks (not to mention while i was sitting in it (and yes my boss did get some bad looks at that one (and yes i am using nested parenthesis))), and destroying the locking parts on the tailgate, and bending most other parts that were bendable...i am suprised that the little yellow light on the top of the truck did survive.

now since we did so much damage to the trucks, we were blamed with every thing that was broken for two days, anything that was not in order too. i mean how could we be blamed for dropped stones on the road when we werent even moving stones? yeah, sometimes it is easier to just deal with it and accept the crap they give you and move on. i mean how much do 2x12s really cost?

as a result of our mishaps for the week, we took today off. like literally, we drank coffee until 11, and then ordered our pizza for lunch, read books until it was ready to get, and took lunch. then i am not sure what we did in the afternoon. :-/ the bottom line was we could not get ourselves in trouble if we did nothing, and since my bosss boss was not in the office today, we had some smooth sailing.

on a lighter note, last week i managed to lock myself out of a house i didnt live in at 4am. i was so not happy, cause as a result i had to sleep in a car for a few hours til i could find somebody that was awake, so i could call to try to find a way in. in reality i just took the door off of the hinges to get in, now why didnt i think of that at 4am so i could go back to sleep in a REAL bed?
